It was the 4th of July, Cye was preparing a huge dinner for his friends. He growled when he heard Kento coming into the kitchen.

"Food ready yet buddy?" Kento asked.

"You asked me that two minutes ago and two minutes ago I told you no and i said that it would be another TEN MINUTES!" he growled.

Kento blinked, "Geez Cye don't have a cow."

"YOUR GONNA BE A COW COOKING ON MY STOVE IF YOU DON'T GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN AND LEAVE ME ALONE!" He yelled threating to throw a pan at him.

"Okay okay I'm gone!" Kento bolted out of the kitchen.

Rowen laughed, "Ya better leave him alone Kento or ya gonna get beated in the head with a pot," Rowen said.

"Ha ha Very funny Rowen,"

"Well he did tell you it would be ready in ten minutes," Sage said.

"Ya," Said Rowen.

"Well I like bugging him," Kento grinned.

"Ya and that's gonna be what gets your head torn off," Rowen laughed.

"Would you people shut up I'm trying to sleep," Dais said from his spot of the sofa.

"No! And your takin' up the sofa move!" Kento said pushing Dais' feet onto the foor and sat down. Dais put his feet on Kento, he closed his eyes.

"GET YOUR STINKIN' FEET OF ME DAIS!" Kento yelled.

Dais opened an eye, "No." he said quietly.

"Ahhhh! MIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAA!" Kento screamed.

Mia came downstairs.

"Dinner ready?" She asked.

"No. But do these WARLORDS have ta stay here?"

"Yes!" Said Mia, Sage, Rowen and Dais.

"Stupid Dais," Kento muttered.

"What was that kid?" Dais said sitting up.

"Nothing I didn't say nothing," Kento said quickly.

"He said stupid Dais," Sekhmet said from his spot on the floor. The warlord of venmon was laying on the floor, his face rested on his hands.

Dais growled.

"Children," he sighed.

"Excuse me? I am NOT a child!!!" Kento said.

"To us you are," Sekhmet said.

"Your all being children right now!" Cye yelled from the kitchen, he came out. "KEEP IT DOWN!"

"Yes we are. My apolgies Cye," Dais said.

Kento snickered.

"Thank you," Cye eyed Kento.

"Hee hee," Kento waved. Cye growled and went back in the kitchen.

"Damn overgrown little piglet," Cye muttered.

"I'm hungry!" Kento whinned.

Cye came out of the kitchen and threw his spatula at Kento he miss and it his Dais' foot.

"OW!" Dais cried eyes popping open. " Why'd you do that Torrent!"

"Sorry mate was aiming at Kento."

"Well work on your aim! Geez can't a demon get some peice around here!" Dais growled.

"No you can't," Kento smirked.

"Shut up hardrock!"

"Make me warlord!"

Dais jumped off the couch."

"IS THAT A CHALLENGE?!"

"Well maybe it is! What'cha gonna do about it pal?!"

"BOYS!" Mia yelled. The looked at her. "Take your fighting outside!"

"MAYBE WE WILL!" Kento said.

"Sorry Miss Mia we shall behave," Dais said.

"Yea sorry Mia."

Kento looked at Dais and growled.

"THis isn't over warlord," he whispered.

"Kento!" Mia said.

"Sorry," Kento said.

Dais smirked.

Kento looked at Dais, he growled and went upstairs. He ran into Ryo in the hallway.

"Hey bud what's wrong," Ryo asked.

"Dais is wrong, Why do they have ta be here?" Kento asked.

"I uh don't know," Ryo shugged.

"I hate that warlord!"

"Do you really?" Ryo said.

"Yes!"

"I don't think you really do," Ryo said.

"What are you gettin' at?"

"You see in time," Ryo walked down the stairs.

Kento watched him.

"What's he talkin' about?" Kento wondered. He shrugged and went into his room that he shared with Cye. Once inside Kento streched out of the bed.

"Damn that Dais. Why does he have ta stay here after what he and those other warlords did while serving Tulpa."

Kento jumped up from the bed and went downstairs.

"Ten minutes are up," Kento said.

"Yup," Cye said coming from the kitchen. "Foods outside."

Kento ran outside where the warlords and Rowen were already stuffing there faces.

"Mmm Food! Ugh warlords!"

Kento put some food on his plate and sat down next to Rowen.

"Mmm this is good," Kento said.

"Cye's cooking is always good," Rowen said.

The others had come outside and sat at the table filling up their plates. Dais reached over and grabbed a turkey leg from Kento's plate.

"HEY!!!!!! GIVE THAT BACK!" Keto cried.

"Shut up Kento," Cye said.

"But but he took my turkey leg and that was the last one too!" He whinned.

Dais stuck out his tounge. Kento jumped up almost knocking over the table.

"Dais why don't you just leave! I can't stand you!"

"KENTO SIT DOWN AND EAT! I MADE US A NICE MEAL, ITS FOURTH OF JULY I WANT A PEACEFUL MEAL WITHOUT THE TWO OF YOU FIGHTING! WE HAD ENOUGH FIGHTS WITH TULPA! I WANT YOU TWO TO GET ALONE FOR ONE AFTERNOON! NOW SHUT UP!!!!!" Cye scream and sat down.

Kento growled started to walk away.

"Where do you think your going?" Cye asked.

"Getting away from him," Kento muttered.

"No you not I said that we were ALL gonna sit at this table! NOW SIT!"

Kento grumbled and sat down. Kento and Dais eyed each other through the hole dinner. Kento tried to eat quickly. When he was finished Kento lefted the table.

"Aren't you gonna have desert?" Cye asked.

"Maybe later. I'm going for a walk." Kento walked off into the woods. Dais watched him intil he was out of site.

Kento walked till the woods ended.

"Stupid Cye! Stupid Dais!" he growled.

Kento looked up at the sky. Its almost time for the fireworks, better head back, he thought. Sighing, Kento turned around and headed back to the house where the fireworks, that Rowen and Sage were lighting had just started going off.

Dais walked up beside Kento.

"Strata and Halo picked out beauitful fireworks huh," Dais said.

"Yea they are beautiful," Kento sighed. What am I talking to him for? He asked himself.

"Hey those ones look like stars," Kento said.

Dais laughed.

"Just like Strata to pick out star fireworks," Dais said.

They stood in silence and watched the show of lights in the sky. Ryo and Cye took over lighting the fireworks White Sage and Rowen Layed in the grass together. Rowen's head was rested on Sage's chest.

"Ha look at that one its a heart," Kento smiled, looking at Dais. The fireworks shows always put him in a good mood.

"Yea."

Kento looked back towards the sky. The next fireworks were more hearts then some words in red fireworks.

Kento read. "Dais likes Kento. Aww Isn't that sweet Dais loves..... KENTO!" Kento gasped. He gulped and looked at Dais who was smirking. Everyone else was looking at Dais and Kento.

"You... I ....Um ....Uh .... You like me?" Kento stuttered.

Dais' grinned and nodded.

"But ... I ....We-We always fight and I uh I-I-I think I like you too," Kento gasped. His beathing got heaver and his heart pounded.

"Aww." Rowen whispered, the others giggled.

"Come on guys lets leave them alone," Cye whispered and headed to the other side of the lake the others followed. Ryo lit up the last of the fireworks and follwed is friends to the other side of the lake where Cye was already in the water.

"Kento I do like you a lot. Your persistence in battles when we fought, your love for your friends you would always do your best to protect them. You never gave up hope when you, Torrent and Halo were are prisoners. Your strong and funny and you love life I've always amired you. And you beautiful," Dais touched Kento's cheak.

"Do you mean all those things?" Kento gasped.

"Yes very much."

"Dais," Kento whispered. He stepped toward Dais, Dais took a step closer to Kento. They kissed wrapping their arms around each other.

On the other side of the lake the others watched.

"Its about damn time," Ryo said.

"Yea," Cye sighed.


When Dais and Kento stopped kissing they were still locked in each others arms.

"I'm sorry for stealing you turkey leg and getting you in trouble with Cye," Dais whispered in Kento's ear.

"Already forgoten," Kento whipered. They kissed again and watched the sky as the last of the fireworks went off and the sky became dark with the stars and the moon as their only light.....
